This is how rumors get started.
In what may become THE sex scandal of the current administration, Condoleezza Rice was spotted yesterday in the arms of an unidentified man. He does not appear to be in the Secret Service. A personal "body guard" perhaps? Condi, we didn't know you had it in you! And why aren't you on the UPS truck with the other puppets?

I arrived home to the news that 10 more US servicemen had died over the last weekend. Plus, Iraqis continue to die at a pace of 100 a day to sectarian/insurgent/general violence.
In the US, taking our shoes off in airports makes us safer. One cell phone can set off a remote explosive, but posessing 1000 of them is evidence of being a terrorist, not of reselling cheap phones. People with single cell phones run about freely, as do people with shoes.
The big terror scare that makes shave cream a dangerous item now seems to have netted not a single actual weapon, just an email that said, essentially, "go for it". With these terror alerts and captures happening, one would think elections were coming up.
Rumsfeld now calls terrorists "Islamic Fascists". I suppose that forcing one's religion upon others is properly called fascism. I can only hope that the "Christian Fascists" that seek to enforce their religion upon others through laws affecting reproductive choice, scientific research, and even educational censorship, will see the similarity of their goals, and sometimes even their methods, to the murdering monsters of 9/11.
If it is wrong for them to attack our WTC because they view our society as immoral and our government corrupt, then it must be equally wrong for us to invade Bagdad because we view Iraqi society as immoral, or their government corrupt. We know, and our leaders knew at the time, that there were no WMDs in Iraq, and no links to alQaida, either. In fact, by attacking Saddam merely because he was immoral and corrupt in our view, we justify the WTC attack, because we are immoral and corrupt in their view. They attacked us the only way they could.
"We don't need sensitivity" snarls Cheney about our attackers. As we look at our protectorate Israel annihilating southern Lebanon at a cost of over 500 lives, many of them children, and billions of dollars of property, none of which Israel or the US will repay, "sensitivity" is long gone, as is "humanity", "decency", or "morality". If the terrorists ever needed an excuse for the next 9/11, we gave it to them, and so it will continue, as our Bible has warned, "an eye for an eye". It was Jesus that pleaded "turn the other cheek". Maybe next time.
We lose the war on terrorism and against the Islamic Fascists when we become like them in our hearts. When we lose our rights to speak out, to travel freely, to have our privacy, or to practice our choice of religion, then we have from within destroyed our nation; it has not happened from without. And most tragically, it doesn't make us any safer, either.

ps. Condi, if you have sex with that guy, that's your business. Just don't let his girlfriend find out.
